“Healthy LifeStars Now in Tuscon, AZ"Great News! Healthy LifeStars is starting a new LifeStar Community in Tuscon this Fall. Adding to our expanding list of LifeStar Communities in the Metro Phoenix and Denver areas, we are happy to announce we will be touching the lives of children in Tucson with our new Sponsoring Partner CenturyLink.
CenturyLink is the third largest telecommunications company in the United States and is a recognized leader in the network services industry. The Company and its employees recognize the importance of helping our children learn about and practice the three healthy habits which are the core of our LifeStar Challenge program:
I Can Do It!-How to set and achieve personal health goals.
I Eat Right!- How to eat the right foods in the right amounts.
I'm Active!-How to include vigorous physical activity into everyday life.
CenturyLink is sponsoring three of the ten A+ rated schools in the Flowing Wells District which serves 6,000 students. The three schools starting new LifeStar Communities are: Laguna Elementary, J. Roberts Elementary and Centennial Elementary.
We would like to thank CenturyLink, Dr. Nicholas Clement, Superintendent of Flowing Wells School District and Martha Petty, Executive Director of Flowing Wells After School Extension Programs for helping us teach more kids what it means to live active, healthy lives now, and in the future.
And there's more. We have additional schools in the Flowing Wells District who would like to participate in The LifeStar Challenge but can not start until additional sponsors are found! If you, or a person or business you know, would like to sponsor a LifeStar Community please have them contact Brad Audrain at 602-349-0790 or e-mail brad@healthylifestars.org.
We appreciate your support and stay connected for more good news coming soon!
