StepUp4KiDs™ FAQ 2020-01-31T10:26:39-07:00

What is the StepUp4KiDs™ Virtual StepAThon?

It’s a FUN event that challenges adults and kids to be healthy and active by walking the most steps for a week. The goal is to raise funds to combat childhood obesity by supporting under-served kids and sites wanting to join the Healthy LifeStars® program.

How do I participate?

  1. Set you STEP GOAL: we suggest a minimum of 10,000 steps per day or 50,000 steps for the 5 day StepAThon.
  2. Set your FUNDRAISING GOAL …. OR you can just make a donation. We suggest a fundraising minimum goal of $100 (enough to support 2 kids in The LifeStar Challenge program).
    1. We help you create your peer to peer funding page and promote to all your family, friends and colleagues through email and social media. Any amount from them is important and will count toward your goal. All the tools are provided at registration to make this easy.
  3. Create teams and set up challenge competitions to see who can raise the most money and take the most steps.

What do I need to do during the Step-a-Thon week?

  • Beginning on March 30th and each day through April 3rd, you must register your steps. Whether you’re an individual or on a team, you need to register your steps every day.
